Da ich oft gefragt werde: Ich erhalte KEINE Künstlerhilfe. Mein Versuch selbige zu beantragen, verlief so: Der - offizielle - link um das online Formular zu erhalten, funktionierte wochenlang NICHT. Deshalb telefonierte ich mich von "Pontius zu Pilatus" durch städtische Abteilungen, ohne Ergebnis, bis ich nach 'zig Wochen einen Magistralrat am Telefon hatte, der mir freundlich weiterhalf: Doch der bürokratische Weg bzw. die Auflagen zur Künstlerhilfe für 3 x 1.000 € wäre so aufwändig bis unmöglich gewesen, dass ich davon absah. Spätere Rückzahlung - keine Ahnung?

Deshalb kommt mir - als erste Künstlerin Deutschlands, die mit URN ART anfing (Tier-)Urnen und (Tier-)Särge zu bemalen [alle anderen, kopierten danach meine Idee aufgrund meiner zahlreichen Veröffentlichungen in Presse + TV] nun meine jahrelange Arbeit auf dem Gebiet der Bestattungskultur zugute, wo ich für dieses Tabuthema seit 1998 ein Türöffner bin.

Da die Städtische Bestattung beim Empfang im 1. OG immer schöne Blumenbuquets hat, wird ein Foto damit fast schon zum "Klassiker". Die kleine Tierurne "Katzenköpfchen daneben wurde mit Namen der Mieze personalisiert und ist eine von mehreren, die ich diese Tage beim Tierkrematorium abgab.

Besonders wichtig ist es in diesen Zeiten, sich Positives zu gönnen, deshalb lud ich die liebe Gabriele Ullrich hier in meine Ausstellungsräume ein. Wir zerpflücken - unter Wahrung des Abstands - diverse Themen und haben viel Spaß dabei, obwohl wir nicht immer einer Meinung sind. So sieht gepflegte Diskussionskultur aus!

Since November 2nd we have been living in a lockdown in Munich again, which is titled as "light", but is similar to the 1st lockdown in spring, especially when it comes to sport: What should serve public health / strengthen the immune system is again this time closed, for example gyms and swimming pools. Exceptions are professional sports as well as barbershops and hairdressers, as hair can be muddled and you can shop in the city of Munich. Hopefully the smart virus knows its way around the ever-changing rules? I am writing this because my peepart diary may later give an insight into this historical time without being political here:

Since I am often asked: I do NOT receive any artist aid. My attempt to apply for the same went like this: The - official - link to get the online form did NOT work for weeks. That is why I called myself from "Pontius to Pilate" through municipal departments, without any result, until after tens of weeks I had a magistral on the phone who helped me in a friendly manner: But the bureaucratic route or the requirements for artist assistance would be 3 x 1,000 € so complex to impossible that I refrained from it. Later repayment - no idea?

That is why - as the first artist in Germany who started with URN ART to paint (animal) urns and (animal) coffins [everyone else copied my idea afterwards due to my numerous publications in press + on tv] it benefits now my years of work on funeral culture, where I've been a door opener for this taboo subject since 1998.

Since the Städtische Bestattung (municipal burial) always has beautiful bouquets of flowers at the reception on the 1st floor, a photo almost becomes a "classic". The small animal urn "cat's head" next to it was personalized with the name of the kitty and is one of several that I gave to the Tierkrematorium (animal crematorium) these days.

It is particularly important in these times to treat yourself to positive things, therefore I invited dear Gabriele Ullrich to my exhibition rooms. We pick up various topics - while maintaining the social distance - and have a lot of fun with them, although we don't always agree. This is what a cultivated culture of discussion looks like!
