Das in den Maxi-Karton passende Flugzeugteil wählte ich als erstes, dann fahre
ich zu Boesner am Ostbahnhof, um eine Platte für die Objekt-Rückseite zu
besorgen. Zurück in meinen Ausstellungsräumen schneide ich sie nach der
Form des Flugzeugteils zu, damit wird die Handhabung handlicher.
Mein vor vielen Jahren verstorbener Neonmann überliess mir zahlreiche neue, von ihm handgefertigte
Neonteile als Dankeschön für meine Hilfe bei der Auflösung seiner
Neonwerkstatt.
Da die Zeit bis zur Ausstellung im Belskie Museum of Art and Science in
Closter, Bergen County, New Jersey in den USA drängt, wäre eine Neuanfertigung
bei meiner Neonfirma zeitlich äusserst knapp. So wähle ich aus meinem
Neon-Fundus (diese zahlreichen Teile neu zu fertigen, würde ein Vermögen kosten,
vom Zeitaufwand ganz zu schweigen) drei passende Teile aus. Das Interessante ist dabei,
dass die Teile ausgeschaltet andere Farben zeigen als eingeschaltet!

The first thing I chose was the part of the plane that would fit in the maxi
box, then I drove to Boesner at the Ostbahnhof to get a plate for the back of
the object. Back in my showrooms, I cut them to the shape of the aircraft part
for easier handling. My neon man, who passed away many years ago, gave me numerous new neon parts
that he had handmade as a thank you for my help in closing his neon workshop.
Since time is running out until the exhibition at the Belskie Museum of Art
and Science in Closter, Bergen County, New Jersey in the USA, a new production
at my neon company would be extremely tight. So I choose three suitable parts
from my neon pool (it would cost a fortune to make all these parts from scratch,
not to mention the time it takes). The interesting thing is that the parts show
different colors when switched off than when switched on!

Az elso dolog, amit kiválasztottam, a gépnek azt a részét választottam,
ami befért a maxi dobozba, majd elmentem Boesnerbe az Ostbahnhofhoz,
hogy szerezzek egy tányért a tárgy hátuljához. Visszatérve a bemutatótermeimbe,
a könnyebb kezelhetoség érdekében a repülogép rész formájára vágtam oket. Sok évvel
ezelott elhunyt neonemberem számos új, kézzel készített neon alkatrészt adott
nekem, köszönetképpen a neonmuhely bezárásában nyújtott segítségemért.
Mivel az USA-ban, New Jersey államban, Bergen megyében, Closterben, a Belskie Museum
of Art and Science kiállításáig fogy az ido, rendkívül szukös lenne egy új produkció
a neoncégemnél. Így három megfelelo alkatrészt választok ki a neonmedencémbol (egy
vagyonba kerülne ezeket az alkatrészeket a semmibol elkészíteni, nem beszélve az idoigényrol).
Az az érdekes, hogy az alkatrészek kikapcsolt állapotban más színt mutatnak, mint bekapcsolva!
