Das Neon Objekt besteht aus einen schweren, original Flugzeugteil, Trafo, Neoninstallation, Friedenstäubchen und Glitzerblumen. Klingt einfach, ist es jedoch nicht, denn abgesehen von der komplexen Neonherstellung benötigt das Flugzeugteil einen Sockel, in den der Trafo eingebettet wird. Montiere ich ihn direkt unter das Flugzeugteil, kippt das Objekt, da er zu schmal ist. Also muss ein Abstandhalter her. Dieser ist eine Kreation aus einem geschnittenen runden Holzstab, von dem ich im Baumarkt 6 Stückchen mit je 4 cm Länge abschneiden lasse. Da diese Teilchen nur aufgeklebt und nicht festgeschraubt werden können, lasse ich bei meiner Kunststoff-Firma Schubert hier eine 0,5 cm Scheibe mit 6 Löchern für Senkkopfschrauben bohren. Diese Bodenplatte verleiht dem Abstandhalter Stabilität.

The neon object consists of a heavy, original airplane part, a transformer, a neon installation, peace doves, and glitter flowers. It sounds simple, but it isn't. Aside from the complex neon manufacturing process, the airplane part requires a base into which the transformer is embedded. If I mount it directly under the airplane part, the object will tip over because it's too narrow. So, a spacer is needed. This is a creation made from a round wooden rod, from which I had six pieces, each 4 cm long, cut at the hardware store. Since these pieces can only be glued on and not screwed in place, I had my plastics company Schubert here drill a 0.5 cm disc with six holes for countersunk screws. This base plate gives the spacer stability.
