Um dieses procedere zu ersparen belasse ich die Hochspannungskabel an den Neonteilen, was zur Folge hat, dass SKYLINE von insgesamt 3 Personen transportiert werden muss: Je 1 Person hält rechts und links die Metallschiene und eine geht mit dem Trafokasten parallel dazu nebenher, ohne dass die Kabel am Neon auf Zug gehen, denn sie sind ja nur mit dünnem Draht verbunden. Die erste Hürde klappte dank der professionellen Transportmänner von alpha trans, die schon meine "Nase" nach Südkorea um die halbe Welt schickten, bestens. Nun muss ich nicht nur eine Beschreibung mit Fotos für den "Hand"-Transport in Korea fertigen, sondern auch, wie das 3-teilige Neon Objekt im LKW zu fixieren ist, damit es heil bleibt. Da ich mir ein Bild von der Sorgfalt der Museumsleute bei meinen beiden Besuchen vor Ort machen konnte, traue ich mir, dieses komplexe SKYLINE in ihre fürsorglichen Hände zu geben.

SKYLINE is a complex neon installation on metal rails, where - as an exception - I first made a prototype. The final assembly is on square aluminum rails, the electrodes are covered with black Plexiglas, everything is thought out and custom-made. Two high-voltage transformers make it glow, one for red discharge. Normally I would disconnect the high-voltage cables from the neon electrodes for transport, but then my dear Korean museum friends would have to reconnect them to the electrodes and mount the Plexiglas panes.

To save this procedure, I leave the high-voltage cables on the neon parts, which means that SKYLINE has to be transported by a total of 3 people: 1 person each holds the metal rail on the right and left and one walks alongside with the transformer box in parallel without the Cables on the neon are pulled, because they are only connected with thin wire. The first hurdle worked perfectly thanks to the professional transport men from alpha trans, who already sent my "Nose" to South Korea halfway around the world. Now I not only have to produce a description with photos for the "hand" transport in Korea, but also how to fix the 3-part neon object in the truck so that it stays intact.
