After the "nose" was laid flat and the inside cleaned, I have been wrapping it all around for several days: I use used bubble wrap film, which I clean by wiping it with a damp cloth and cutting out the good parts. While this is time consuming, reusing it saves a lot of plastic waste. In order to properly cushion the good piece for transport to the crate company, I wrap it in various layers that I glue criss-cross. Above that is a layer of small pieces of cardboard that were previously used to fill a parcel and that I kept for such purposes. They cushion the impact of impacts and serve the idea of waste avoidance and recycling, which I shook pubicly in 1995 - around 25 years ago (!) - with my giant jaguar campaign in cooperation with the Munich Office for Waste Management ans which I live myself.

The edge on the floor should also be specially protected. To do this, the F-104 must be laid flat again. Since the nose is now well padded, I trust myself to do this without male help: I make the heavy part tip over, quickly catch it at the right moment and let it slide onto the floor.
