Stehe um 7 Uhr auf und frühstücke im Hotel. Der Frühstücksraum
sieht steril aus wie eine Klinik und die Hilfen tragen Mundschutz, Haarnetz und
blaue Einweg-Gummihandschuhe. Da ich nix auf koreanisch lesen kann, weiss ich leider
beim warmen Buffet
nicht, was vegetarisch ist und was nicht. Deshalb entscheide ich mich für Toastbrot mit Butter und
Marmelade. Das Bestellen eines Taxis an der Hotelrezeption ist ébenfalls ohne koreanisch
solala, aber immerhin halte ich dann die Nr. des Taxis auf einem Papierzettel in der Hand.
Der Taxifahrer spricht auch nicht English, doch er versteht zumíndest Airport Gimpo und Busan,
denn es gibt in Seoul zwei Flughäfen: den internationalen Incheon und den nationalen
Gimpo. Auf dem Weg dorthin den Fluss entlang hat er freie Fahrt und ich komme dort wesentlich
früher an als geplant. Beim Checkin erhalte ich - da ich zu früh dran bin -
von Korean Air einen früheren Flug angeboten, den ich gerne annehme. Und auch
mein Koffer schaffte diesen, oh Freude! So sitze ich nun in der Ankunftshalle von Busan
beim Tourist Information Center und schreibe mein peepart Tagebuch, denn Treffpunkt mit
den Museumsleuten ist dort um 15 Uhr.

Get up at 7 a.m. and have breakfast at the hotel. The breakfast room looks as sterile as a clinic and the helpers wear face masks, hair nets and blue disposable rubber gloves. Since I can't read anything in Korean, I unfortunately don't know what is vegetarian and what isn't at the warm buffet. That's why I choose toast with butter and jam. Ordering a taxi at the hotel reception is also a no-brainer, but at least I have the number of the taxi in my hand on a piece of paper. The taxi driver doesn't speak English either, but he at least understands Airport Gimpo and Busan, because there are two airports in Seoul: the international Incheon and the national Gimpo. On the way there along the river it has free passage and I get there much earlier than planned. When checking in, I was offered an earlier flight by Korean Air - since I was early - which I gladly accepted. And my suitcase made it too, oh joy! So I'm now sitting in the arrivals hall of Busan at the Tourist Information Center and writing my peepart diary, because the meeting point with the museum people there is at 3 p.m.
