Das Kunstwerk im Hintergrund der Donghak Memorial Hall in Jeongeup, Südkorea, trägt den Namen "Symbolic Sculpture" (Symbolische Skulptur). Es handelt sich um ein zentrales Element des Donghak Peasant Revolution Memorial Park. Die Skulptur symbolisiert den Wandel der Bauern während der Donghak-Bauernrevolution von 1894. Sie zeigt, wie die Bauern, die ursprünglich mit Bambusspeeren kämpften, sich zu einer starken Bewegung entwickelten, die gegen Unterdrückung und Ausbeutung aufstand. The artwork in the background of the Donghak Memorial Hall in Jeongeup, South Korea, is called "Symbolic Sculpture." It is a central element of the Donghak Peasant Revolution Memorial Park. The sculpture symbolizes the transformation of the peasants during the Donghak Peasant Revolution of 1894. It shows how the peasants, who originally fought with bamboo spears, developed into a powerful movement that rose up against oppression and exploitation. The artistic design progresses from bamboo stuck in the ground to hard steel, thus representing the connection between past and present, as well as between historical figures and present-day visitors.
